Roof Refurbishment, Corby Cube

Opened in 2010, Corby Cube is a major development in the town of Corby, Northamptonshire. The building houses a council chamber for Corby Borough Council, a Registry Office, a public library, a 450-seat theatre and a 100-seat studio theatre, and it also creates a major focus centre for the whole community.

Product brief:

When the terrace roof’s drainage system began to fall away from the outlets, a full strip to the deck and a new Cut to Falls insulation scheme was required. Proteus Waterproofing supplied Proteus Pro-Therm insulation and 400m2 of the high performance Pro-Felt membrane to provide a reliable waterproofing covering and extend the lifespan of the roof by a further 20 years. The terraces were covered with ceramic finished tiles resting onto supports.
