Roof Refurbishment, Austin House
Following a site survey where core samples were taken, the existing membrane was found to have been installed without a roof deck and beyond recovery. Proteus Waterproofing
specified Proteus Pro-Felt® Ultima Plus BUR to meet Building Regulations Part L.
Key Requirements: High Performance Waterproofing
The roof had to first be stripped back and a new plywood roof deck to be installed. Proteus Pro-Felt® Ultima Plus was installed incorporating Proteus Pro-Therm PIR insulation, to improve the thermal performance. The smaller roof areas which also required a new waterproofing membrane, were able to accept an overlay system. Therefore, Proteus Pro-System® Plus, a low odour, cold applied liquid was used. Proteus Waterproofing worked closely with the Proteus Approved Contractor to ensure the project was completed to a high standard.
Key Requirements: Helath and Safety
When working on residential buildings, safety is always of utmost importance, as well as keeping disruptions to residents and to the store below, to a minimum.
